Welcome to all of our supporters to whom we are grateful for their generous support of the UCLA Rugby in 2009. There has been a lot of exciting news regarding UCLA Rugby in the last several months with much more on the horizon as our playing and events schedule has been set for the remainder of 2009 and 2010.

The Bruins will begin training late September finishing the Fall Quarter with a few local friendly matches before the break. This will give our staff an opportunity to evaluate the new talent and put players in a position to be successful. The Winter Quarter starts early with our Annual Dennis Storer Classic Pac-10 Tournament and the Southern California Collegiate Premiership League. Tour plans to Vancouver and Victoria have been made and we are considering bids to host the West leg of the Collegiate National Championships and/or the So Cal High School Championships as we continue to bring high quality rugby to our campus and further our reputation as a center of excellence.

Our Events Schedule has also been established and we are excited about the opportunity for our supporters to gather at various locations throughout the state at events that are always a good time and critical to our effort to expand our reach in the community. We encourage all to attend and to bring friends that are not necessarily Rugby Alumni, but can become supporters of what we are trying to accomplish.

We are pleased to announce that our endowment continues to grow and will remain in perpetuity in order to help fund our program. We are extremely grateful to Larry Layne '77 and Sheelagh Boyd for their gift and of also to Marion Dodson who, in memory her late husband Lee Dodson '62, matched the Layne’s initial gift. Should others assist us in bringing new growth to the Bruin Rugby Forever endowment, Larry and Sheelagh will consider making further contributions in the future. We also have short term needs and continue to fund our day to day operations through our Current Account. You may make a contribution to either fund by clicking “Donate Online” on the upper left side of this screen. For further information, please contact Coach Stewart.

Another simple and FREE way to support UCLA Rugby is through the Ralphs E-Script program. For every dollar you spend at Ralphs a portion will be donated to UCLA Rugby on a quarterly basis.

Simply click here and register your card as follows:

  1. Log in to www.ralphs.com
  2. Click on Sign in / Register.
  3. Click on Sign UP Today in the "New Customer?" box.
  4. Enter zip, favorite store, email address, create a password and agree to the all terms.
  5. You will then get an email message, click on the link provided.
  6. Click on My Account and use your email address and password to proceed to the next step.
  7. Click on Edit Community Contribution information and input your Ralphs Rewards Card #.
  8. Update or confirm your information
  9. Enter NPO # "90820" or select UCLA Men’s Rugby Club from the list and click confirm.
  10. You are enrolled if your our name appears on the right side of your information page.
  11. Click "Logout" at the top of the page.
